Washington Huskies (4-0)

On Saturday, our undefeated and untested Huskies had their first real test of the season, a home game with the highly regarded Stanford Cardinal.

What Happened?

The Dawgs lost 20-13 but they played hard. I felt much better about their effort and our future after this loss than I did in our four dubious wins over Hawaii, Eastern Washington, Illinois and Georgia State.

Sunday College Tour

 BIOLA University Eagles

BIOLA (Bible Institute of Los Angeles) University, founded in 1908, is a small, obviously Christian, university located in La Mirada, a Los Angeles suburb.

Sophie, the daughter of our friends from Seattle Mark and Susie Johnson, is a Freshman at BIOLA this Fall. We decided to visit her on a beautiful Sunday afternoon and take her world famous tour of the quiet campus.

Laurie and Sophie

Sophie met us with three Razor scooters, the Eagles' preferred mode of transportation when zipping around the 6,250 student, 95 acres campus.

Frosh Pond?

After Sophie's very informative and thorough tour, we went to lunch at the local Clearman's Northwoods Inn for some fabulous burnt animal flesh followed by an intense shopping spree at the nearby La Habra Target Store.

WHAT A DAY!

Sophie is doing fine adapting
to both college life and the SoCal Sun
