A Much Needed Slow Day and a New Coach for the Stings and Cobras

Friday, 28 October, 2016:

After a hectic few days, today was much more slow paced as it needed to be.

After a stay at home morning, Jesús and I boarded the Land Rover and picked up Osos Team President Enrique Martín Alonso for a drive to Madrid's Barrajas Airport.

We were all excited by the arrival of another coach into the Stings/Osos fold.

Waiting for our new coach,
Orlando Webb to arrive

It took awhile but Orlando finally came through the doors ready to roll.

In true Spanish manor, we quickly escorted Orlando to a restaurant to eat a sumptuous meal at one of Enrique's favorite spots in the town of Barrajas.

This guy looks familiar

I worked with our five-man flag
team during the Junior practice

Orlando Webb

Orlando will be the Guadalajara Stings Head Coach and will also be an assistant with the Osos Rivas.

From North Carolina, Orlando has been playing in EuroBall for four seasons in Serbia, Poland and Germany.

A good guy, he will be a huge asset to both clubs.

COUNTDOWN update . . .

. . . more days until
Laurie gets to Madrid
